Last weekend saw the return of Tower Hamlet’s best kept secret, the annual Shuffle Festival. Previously spanning over 9 days, 2016’s festival was just as packed with unique entertainment and artisan delights, but this time condensed into a 24 hour programme. Gods, idols and light was the overhead theme and where better to host such activities than in between the gravestones of an overgrown cemetery park; lit by majestic fairy lights guiding you to your next wondrous encounter.
Every demographic was catered for, with a free breakfast for locals, water bomb wars for the kids, live theatre, music acts, films long and short (including Flux from Hatch), VR headsets and even a large musical sculpture that used steam, welding techniques and ship horns to create a stunning performance of sound.
